Alabama Wins BCS Championship Against Texas

bcsPasadena, California, Jan 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The gut-wrenching games of the college football season that had thrilled the fans for the several weeks finally ended with Alabama Crimson Tide’s victory on the Bowl Championship Series Game, at Pasadena in California. According to the reports, the game, which has ended a short while ago, was tied to 37-21, indicating, that the Texas offense were well tackled by the Crimson Tide. Alabama team had displayed a good form throughout the season as they once again lived up to the expectations against a depleted Texas Longhorns.

Mark Ingram, the Heisman Trophy winner of this year fulfilled the expectations of fans and played well in the championship bowl that led his team to the path of victory. According to the reports, the one yard run of Mark Ingram in the final moments of the match secured their win. In a post match interview, Mark Ingram said that they had toiled hard to earn victory in the match and so they deserved to be the winner. The player, who has always been confident about his team said that he did not consider that anyone else had given more labor than them.

While the Alabama Crimson Tide was celebrating their victory in the game, the night had double disappointment for the Texas Longhorns. They lost quarterback, Colt McCoy, after he received shoulder injury during the game. It appeared that Texas players could not recover the loss of their talented quarterback and lost the bowl championship. Garrett Gilbert, came as a replacement for Colt McCoy and tried to play well but could not equalize the score of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
