Alabama State University Wins With 24-3 Lead Over Penn State University Team

alabama1Sep 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Even in the absence of Heisman Trophy-winning running back Mark Ingram, and lineman Marcell Dareus, Alabama State University football team on Saturday came forward with some amazing play and restricted Penn State university team to 3 points while it went on to score 24. At the end of the game, the score board read 24-3 in favor of Alabama University football team.

Expectations were riding high up on Saturday when the No.1 placed Alabama State University team took to the field against Penn State University team. The team was able to take a lead from the very beginning and Penn State was seen struggling to keep a pace with the No.1. In midst of humid condition the Alabama University team came up with speed to take a control over the game. Trent Richardson, who replaced Mark Ingram in the game was the only player who was placed at the back by the Alabama University team who came forward with the five wide receivers. Trent Richardson ran an impressive 144 yards on 22 carries to lead his team to success. While Trent Richardson took the direct snap, it was the receivers who did the rest of the jobs. Interestingly the Alabama State University team used a no-huddle offense tactics against the Penn State University team. At the end of the first half the former team had run 33 plays for 288 yards. Penn State was trailing behind by 17 points.

In absence of veteran players, some young defense players of the Alabama State University team emerged with flying colors. The team was able to keep the offense players of the Penn State University on toe for whole of the game. Although the Saturday night game was not one of the brilliant football games that have been played in recent past, there is no denying the fact that it showed the prowess of Alabama State University team.
