aj5Oct. 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) New York Yankees player A.J. displayed an excellent performance on the Thursday night World Series game, which enabled him to gather praise from all quarters. Burnett showed his splendid control of the game just when his team desperately needed it. Especially as this was a match that the Yankees could not afford to lose. The Yankees win over the Philadelphia Phillies shot them back into the game and allowed them to tie the series, after their unexpected loss to the Phillies in the first game of the World Series.

The Yankees Won over the Philadelphia Phillies in the second game, 3-1. Burnett seemed to be in total control of his rhythm and went on smoothly with the flow of the game. Joe Girardi, manager of the Yankees team, later added that Burnett played the game exactly as his team [as well as his fans] had expected him to play. His body language was highly aggressive throughout the game, which helped him to pitch seven excellent innings. About his own performance, Burnett expressed that his main aim at the beginning was to set the mood of the game straight and display some fire on the field [which he successfully manged to achieve].

Burnett was earlier associated with the professional baseball team, Florida Marlins. He joined the New York Yankees in the month of December, last year. However, it remains to be seen that whether the right-handed pitcher continues his scintillating performance when his team clashes against the Phillies in the next game of the series, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday night at Philadelphia.
