Rome, Dec 14 (IANS/AKI) AS Roma striker Adriano was named the worst player in Italy’s top football league for the third time Monday after Serie A fans voted for him to win the Golden Bin prize.
The Brazilian won the price in 2006 and 2007 when he played for Inter Milan.
The Golden Bin is awarded every year by Rai Radio 2 by way of a vote by fans.
In a statement Rai said Adriano received almost double the votes of inconsistent Juventus and Italy forward Amauri in second while AC Milan’s Brazilian Ronaldinho came in third.
Juventus’s Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo in 2009 won the Golden Bin, a parody on the Golden Ball award given to the world’s best soccer player.
