London, July 18 (IANS) Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor flew to Manchester for a medical at Manchester City and is expected to sign a 25 million pounds deal with the Eastlands club.
The 25-year-old will join the star-studded attack that has the likes of Carlos Tevez, Robinho and Roque Santa Cruz.
The Guardian reported Saturday that Adebayor had asked for time to consider the move because he was concerned about leaving a club that is immensely popular in Africa. He doesn’t want to be perceived as money-driven and join a club that has lower standings.
