Maryland, Mar 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) ACC Tournament awards for the year 2010 has been declared this week and it appears that Maryland enjoyed a good luck this year. It has been reported that Gary Williams, who is the head coach of the Maryland Terrapins has been honored with the honor of the coach of the year. Gary Williams is an outstanding basketball coach of these days and the news that he has been named as the coach of the year is much cause for rejoice for the men’s basketball team of Maryland Terrapins.

As per the reports, this is not the first time that Gary Williams has been nominated as the coach of the year. According to the records, earlier, he had been honored with the ACC coach of the year award in the year 2002. Gary Williams’ award is not the only reason for Maryland Terrapins’ fans to celebrate. They have other reasons for celebration too.

According to the reports, Greivis Vasquez, the senior guard of the Maryland Terrapins has been named as the ACC basketball player of the year. Greivis Vasquez has helped his team win several matches and fans have been delighted to learn that he has been honored with the award of the player of the year. Reports indicate that Gary Williams and Greivis Vasquez had played a significant role in winning several matches this year and deserved the awards that they have received. As stated in the reports, Maryland Terrapins had not won the best coach or best player’s award for a considerable period of time and so it was a great achievement for them.
