ABC To Cover Indy 500 For The 47th Time

indy500New York, May 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) 59 cameras will stay glued on the racing tracks as ABC covers the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 500 on Sunday. Reportedly, the coverage kicks off from noon with the drop of the green flag. The annual automobile race; Indy 500 on Sunday is all set to head on for a big race with Team Penske being the hot favorite. The temperature as predicted will witness a high humidity as it shifts from being sunny to cloudy. It’s all left to the racers to adapt themselves to the changing atmospheric conditions and drive along the Indy 500 Motor Speedway track.

The Sunday race shall witness Honda receiving its 100th car at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As a matter of fact, the entrants are running their piece of machine on Honda Power plant itself. It was way back in the year of 2004 when Honda clinched it’s first victory. Since then Honda had been the prominent one in Indy 500 as it was declared to be the one and only engine supplier for the Indy 500 automobile in the year of 2006.

Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger are the major brands at the Sunday Indy 500. They have also introduced the retro banded fashion line of Indy 500 in popular stores like Macy’s. The major attraction of the Sunday race will be the presence of Hollywood celebrities. Jack Nicholson will be the one to drop the green flag which marks the onset of the race. Kim Kardashian and Mark Wahlberg will also hit the club stands as the race kicks off. Ashley Judd will be in full spirits along with her husband, racer driver Dario Franchitti. At the beginning of the race, the national anthem will be performed by Jewel.
