aaron-rodgersAaron Rodgers made sure that history doesn’t repeat itself as the player delivered one pinpoint pass with only few seconds remaining for the closure of the game as the Green Bay Packers hauled the Chicago Bears 21-15 in the 177th regular season meeting between the two. According to the sources, seven out of the ten Packers’ losses in the year 2008 came by a mere four points or less, and it was Aaron Rodgers’ duty on Sunday’s crucial match that the same drubbing doesn’t happen again. And he successfully did so.

Packers, who were down by two points at the Lambeau field picked up a crucial win during the final moments of the match, as Rodgers made a beautiful “play-action fake” and threw a down-field strike to Greg Jennings for a 50 yard touchdown. Only 1.11 minutes were remaining for the match to end. “Jennings ran a great route. He is tough to guard. I was off all game, I didn’t play well until the last throw, I guess, but it was important for us to get a win like this tonight,” said Rodgers who seemed to be overwhelmed by the victory of Packers against their opponent Chicago Bears.

The match witnessed Rodger finishing with 184 yards and the lone score on 17-of-28, reportedly passing without an interception. The win relieves the burden of blame that Rodgers was carrying for sometime due to his teams poor performance last season.

“Winning boosts confidence for every member of our football team. No difference for a quarter back. To have a two minute victory under his belt just gives you gratification for the extra time we put in,” Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said.
