alex_rodriguez__5_ Mar 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In what some are calling a “snitching campaign” the Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez, also known as A-Rod, is being encouraged by federal agents to speak out against the Canadian doctor, Anthony “Tony” Galea. Galea is under investigation for allegedly selling the drug “Actovegin” which is derived from calf’s blood. It is mostly used for healing, but is not a legal drug. The investigation first began when Galea’s assistant Mary Anne Catalano was caught at the border with vials many illegal substances, including Human Growth Hormones were found in her vehicle.

Although some are wondering what the exact connection between A-Rod and Galea is, A-Rod is being questioned about what treatment he received from this doctor. A-Rod announced early last year that he had used performance enhancing drugs, and apparently he and Galea had met years before. It is reportedly about these encounters that the feds are wishing to question A-Rod, and it seems as though he is not the only one. Galea was reportedly also physician to such stars as Olympic swimmer, Dara Torres, former Met Carlos Delgado, gold medal sprinter Donovan Bailey, Broncos quarterback Chris Simms, Tiger Woods, and several other athletes in the U.S. and Canada. A-Rod does not appear to be too upset by the questioning…“This is about someone else,” he said. “I’m going to cooperate the best I can and focus on baseball.”
