Dec 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Much acclaimed New York Yankees pitcher A. J. Burnett is hitting headlines lately but unfortunately not for his sporting expertise. The noted right-handed pitcher who is having a rather unimpressive season this year, has managed to create quite a stir with speculations being ripe about whether the player is indeed going through a bitter divorce. The widespread rumors about A. J. Burnett’s divorce from his wife were triggered by radio personality Colin Cowherd who picked up the matter on his ESPN show and emphasized that the main reason owing to which the New York Yankees player is not being able to give his best shot is due to the terrible divorce that he is going through.

During his ESPN radio show recently, Colin Cowherd told all his listeners that the 33-year-old player had to face a bitter divorce and he might be going through the same currently which accounts for his poor performance on the field. Moreover, the radio host also went on to describe A. J. Burnett’s wife as ’spiteful and vindictive’ while adding that he does not wish to divulge the details of their divorce to his listeners as the stories are really ugly.

However, Colin Cowherd had to be at the receiving end of A. J. Burnett’s agent’s ire who has refuted the claims that the New York Yankees star was in the process of getting a divorce from his wife. The right-handed pitcher’s representative Derek Braunecker has brushed away the radio host’s remarks as ‘unequivocally false’ while adding that it was indeed responsible for Colin Cowherd to make such untrue claims.
