fire42San Francisco, July 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This weekend has been a busy one for the city of San Francisco with residents and officials gearing up to participate and cheer contestants at the San Francisco Marathon. The first race is scheduled to begin at 5:30 today morning. This is the 32nd year that the San Francisco Marathon is being organized with as many as 24,000 participants expected to take to the tracks this year, the number showing a rapid increase each passing year.

The San Francisco Marathon being one of the most important events of the city and so many people assembled in San Francisco this year, officials apprehend that there will be an unusual rush of traffic especially during the beginning of the races, and have already issued orders to residents and visitors alike to take prior precautions. However traffic officials have assured the people that normalcy is expected to be restored after 12:30 in the afternoon. To avoid the traffic rush of the early morning hours, traffic officials in the city have drawn up a detour map that drivers will have to follow while using the city’s roads on Sunday.
