2010 Breeders’ Cup Results Turned Out To Be Unpredictable

breeders-cup-2010-2Louisville, Nov 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much awaited and exciting Breeders’ Cup 2010 ended yesterday. The two day event kept entire Louisville on its toes as the spectators were thrilled to witness the most graceful horses of the world making their way to be the winner of one of the most revered horse racing championship. It started on November 5 and ended yesterday on November 6, with the final event, Breeders Cup Classic.

Yesterday’s races were tougher than the day before. The first event of yesterday, Juvenile Turf was won by Pluck, followed by Soldat and Willcox Inn. In the next race, Breeders’ Cup Sprint where Big Drama emerged as the winner, with Hamazing Destiny coming second and Smiling Tiger coming third. Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint was won by Chamberlain Bridge, to be followed by Central City and Unzip Me. Uncle Mo won the next race, Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Dirt, where Boys At Tosconova and Rogue Romance followed him. Breeders’ Cup Mile was bagged by Goldikova, Gio Ponti came second and The Usual QT came third. Dakota Phone and Dangerous Midge won the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile and Breeders’ Cup Turf respectively. Dakota Phone was succeeded by Morning Line and Gayego. Dangerous Midge was followed by Champ Pegasus and Behkabad. However, the real surprise came up in the final event, Breeders Cup Classic, where much to the astonishment of many horse race lovers, Zenyatta, the most experienced and competent horse, was defeated by Blame. Fly Down was third in Classic. The total value of the last race was $4,545,000, which was several times more than the other races.

It was a great event although it was marked by a number of unpredictable things. The first day, it was the race between Calvin Borel and Javier Castellano that hogged the limelight in which the former registered victory. On the second day, the defeat of Zenyatta by Blame became the talk of the town.
