2009-us-open-tennis-trophy2The 2009 U.S.Open Tennis Championship commences this Monday. Andy Murray and Andy Roddick have been defeated initially at previous tournaments by the 5 time U.S. Champion Roger Federer.

By this time Roger would already have played against Devin Britton. Venus Williams would have faced Vera Dushevina in Flushing Meadows New York. As for the credit of the William sisters, they have already 4 grand slam titles.

If you have missed the dramatic opening you mustn’t worry for there are loads of action coming up till September 13th. So you would not actually miss on seasoned players like Rafael Nadal who is 6 time grand slam champion, who has never walked away with the U.S.Open title.

Beggining on Monday morning, it will be Mike & Mike in The Morning with Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg (on ESPN Radio/ESPN2), narrating the introductions from 6-10 am, and the day would wrap up with early round action till 11 pm on ESPN2.

There will be U.S.Open updates at 2pm, noon, and early rounds of action from 1to 6 pm, followed by an hour of U.S.Scoreboard, followed by another round of evening action. The Round of 16 will be telecast on Monday September 7th, at the evening Round of action, and on the following day Men’s Round of 16, and the Women’s Quarter finals will happen from 11am to 6 pm on ESPN2.

Also Andy Roddick who has grabbed the title in 2003, will be seen in action, reportedly. Roddick had a five-set loss at the Wimbledon’s final round, but none can disagree to the fact that he is in a swashbuckling form of his entire career span. Nadal will contest in the championship irrespective of his incomplete recuperation from the leg injury, because of which he was restricted from the Wimbledon.
