accenture2005_triathlon_run After participating in the 2009 USA Pro Nationals, Jenna is one among many of the participant athletes, all set to catch some “non-drafting” fun at 27th Chicago Triathlon, this year. The registrations for the Triathlon have closed now, and 30th August is the last day for events. The cyclist Jenna was there to break the Felt AR Time Trial bike setup.

At 8am commences the Buffalo Grove event where cyclists will swerve into action in the 38/55 mile rides. Yesterday at Ohio Street Beach the swimming competitions saw a slew of enthusiastic athletes.
Over the years the Triathlon has has been anticipated as a major landmark in adventure sports.Even today at 6 am Lake Michigan will see swimmers enervated by the brisk early morning air, and taking unhesitating dips in the chilly water, as they participate in the competition.

Sources ere told by athletes that getting your ID checked, having your body marked with numbers, and taking the swim-cap took about 15 minutes. A 40 km bike ride along the Lake Shore Drive, and a 1.5 km swimming competition along the Monroe Harbor will have some great presentation in the Triathlon.

The Chicago Triathlon is part and parcel of the prestigious Lifetime Fitness national series so before the city gets finally bidding to host the cosmic 2016 Summer Olympics, the current event is the right opportunity to highlight the city at organizing such large-scale participation.

In 2007 the Guinness Book Of World Records declared the Chicago Triathlon as the “World’s Largest Triathlon”. Top professionals look forward to be a part of the event each year, and the event is a celebration of the true spirit of physical achievement.
