davidCalifornia, Feb 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The coach of the football team of the University of Southern California has recruited a player for the class of 2015. The latest recruit is David Sills, the 13 year old wonder quarterback. Not being eligible to sign a written agreement with the team, so far he has only given a verbal commitment to the coach. However, it is being speculated that he would stick to it, considering that he has been heard to say that he really wants to get into the University of Southern California. So it can be safely assumed that being offered the scholarship by Lane Kiffin is sort of a dream come true for him.

Some claim that since David Sills is still too young, the recruitment might just go up in smoke, considering that he might not grow to match up to the physical standards of a quarterback. However, that circumstance seems unlikely, as at 13, David Sills is already 5-foot-11, and weighs 136 pounds. According to his personal mentor Steve Clarkson, he is a greatly talented player. In fact, Steve Clarkson was the one who suggested him to Lane Kiffin while discussing a possible recruit for the class of next year.

Lane Kiffin himself was rather incredulous at first when he was suggested the name of David Sills. However, a close look at the footage of David Sills in action in the field convinced him. For David Sills too, it was an incredible moment when the phone call about the scholarship came through. He commented that he had imagined that the Coliseum would be about as far as he would go. However, the offer from the University of Southern California came “out of nowhere.”
