Washington, May 13 (ANI): Al-Qaeda second man in command, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, has reportedly taken refuge near Balochistan capital Quetta.

A Washington Times report quoted a “highly placed Pakistani intelligence source” as saying that Zawahiri, who is carrying a 25 million dollar bounty, roams freely along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

According to the report, after Zawahiri was forced to flee to South Waziristan due to the continuous US drone strikes, he moved to Balochistan and then crossed into Afghanistan.

The sources claimed that he may have returned to Pakistan in December or January earlier this year, and has relocated recently near Quetta.

They also claimed that Zawahiri is living a camouflaged existence in the region and dresses similar to the people of the region.

He is not accompanied by a large entourage, which was seen earlier, and is only guarded by Egyptians. (ANI)
