Zardari congratulates Pranab

New Delhi, July 23 (IANS) Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari Monday congratulated India’s president-elect Pranab Mukherjee on his election and wished him health and happiness.
“It gives me great pleasure to extend to you warm greetings and felicitations on your well deserved election to the high Office of the president of the Republic of India,” said a felicitation message from Zardari.
“We wish Your Excellency, long life, health and happiness and continued progress and prosperity to the people of India,” it said.
Mukherjee was India’s external affairs minister when the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks took place, plunging India-Pakistan ties to a new low.
