Won’t let anyone derail democracy: Gilani
June 17th, 2012 - 5:12 pm ICT by IANS
Islamabad, June 17 (IANS) Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said although conspiracies are being hatched to undermine democracy, his Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will not let this happen, Geo News reported.
Addressing a public meeting Saturday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Mardan city, Gilani said some elements also conspired to stop the Senate elections and the fifth budget, but they failed.
He said the anti-PPP schemes began since the party came to power in 2008 and attempts had also been made to defeat the party in the general elections.
