WikiLeaks exposed true faces of Pak military, political leadership: Jamaat-e-Islami
December 6th, 2010 - 4:52 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, Dec 6(ANI): The whistle-blower website, WikiLeaks, has exposed the true face of Pakistan’s military, political and democratic leadership, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has said.
The JI staged a rally and sit-in on the Constitutional Avenue in protest against the price-hike, the US court sentence against Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, drone attacks, target killings in Karachi and Balochistan, the Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST) bill and recovery of missing persons, Geo News reports.
Addressing the rally, JI Chief Munawwar Hassan said the people would reject all kinds of attempt at adventurism.
Munawwar resolved to continue protests until the government found the missing persons. He said the next sit-in would take place in Peshawar.He said if an operation were launched in North Wazirstan, it would foment terrorism in the country and have serious consequences. (ANI)
