Peshawar, Dec 18 (ANI): Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has charged the West with wanting to seize the resources of Muslim countries under the pretext of combating terrorism and extremism.
He expressed these views at a public gathering in Malana village and in Prova Tehsil in Dera Ismail Khan.
He described US claims of supporting Pakistan in the war on terror as false.
“However, it (US) is facing total defeat in its nefarious designs and afterward it would hold Pakistan responsible for its defeat and will try to take control of Pakistan nuclear assets, he said.
He also condemned the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), terming it a stain on the politics of Pakistan.
Fazl claimed that during the five-year tenure of the MMA, revolutionary steps have been taken for the promotion of education, industry and health sectors in Pakistans NWFP.
Commenting on the development of Dera Ismail Khan, he said that it was being converted into a trade junction.
The News quoted Fazl as saying that that he would win the election by heavy mandate. (ANI)
