Islamabad, Feb 18 (ANI): The US House of Representatives Congressperson Sheila Jackson Lee said on Sunday that her country is doing the best in its abilities to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in Pakistan.
“The citizens of Pakistan will show the world by casting vote on February 18 that they are a moderate nation. We hope that there is full and free participation in the election,” the Daily Times quoted Sheila, as saying.
“The Government should provide complete security to voters,” she emphasised.
“The assassination of Benazir Bhutto was a national tragedy. She was a brave woman,” Sheila added.
She also praised the Pakistan Peoples Partys (PPP) decision to participate in the elections.
