US drones kill 15 in northwest Pakistan
May 17th, 2011 - 6:18 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, May 17 (IANS) At least 15 people were killed in northwest Pakistan in two separate US drone attacks Monday night, The Nation reported.The unmanned plane during its first attack fired two missiles targeting a house in the Khesro village of north Waziristan. It killed nine suspected militants and destroyed the house completely.
The house was a militants’ compound, said official sources.
In the other strike, the US drone fired two missiles at a moving vehicle in Miranshah, killing five travellers and destroying their vehicle completely. It was the fifth drone attack in May that caused people’s deaths.
