U.S. and Pakistan to have Strategic Dialogue in Washington
March 18th, 2010 - 1:26 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) – The U.S. Department of State announced Wednesday that the United States and Pakistan will hold their first Strategic Dialogue at the Ministerial level in Washington, DC. on March 24.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi will co-chair the talks that will hold discussion topics such as economic development, water and energy, education, communications and public diplomacy, agriculture, and security.
The importance of the U.S.-Pakistan relationship has been stressed on numerous occasions by President Obama and Secretary Clinton, and this dialogue will denote the common interests of both nations, strengthening their bilateral relationship.
