New Delhi, Sept 30 (ANI): Underworld don Babloo Shrivastava was on Tuesday held guilty and awarded life imprisonment under Section 302 (murder) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC by a Kanpur District Judge in the city’’s TADA court.
Shrivastava is a gangster who allegedly hatched a plot to kill LD Arora way back in 1993. Arora was an assistant custom collector, who was shot dead near his residence in Allahabad on March 24, 1993.
Shrivastavas two assistants, Manjit Singh alias Mange Sardar and Kamal Kishor Saini, were also found guilty in conspiring of Arora’’s murder and have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
In August 1995, Shrivastava was arrested in Singapore and then deported to India.
Several other cases were opened against him after he was brought to India, but most of the cases of lesser gravity had already seen him walking out free.
