UN to set up commission to probe Bhutto assassination

Islamabad, July 11 (Xinhua) Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Friday the United Nations would form a commission to probe the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, according to a TV report. Qureshi, after holding a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York, told reporters that Ban had assured him of setting up a commission to probe Bhutto’s assassination, Geo TV said.

Benazir Bhutto, former leader of opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, was killed Dec 27 last year at the Liaquat Bagh park in Rawalpindi.
