UK Home Secretary to visit Pakistan

Islamabad , Apr.6 (ANI): British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith will arrive here on Sunday on a two-day official visit to Pakistan to discuss security related issues.

The Daily Times quoted official sources as saying that Smith would meet Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik.

Sources said both officials would discuss a host of issues, including terrorism, security, human trafficking and other aspects of their bilateral relations.

Smith is also expected to meet President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others.

This is the first ever high-level visit by a foreign dignitary since the formation of Pakistan s new Government.

Afghanistan s Foreign Minister is also expected to visit Pakistan next month. (ANI)
