Lahore, Feb 27 (ANI): Britains Home Office has said that it is deporting at least one person after every eight minutes, one of the highest numbers of deportations from any European country.
The data released by the British Home Office shows that the border and immigration agencies deported 63,140 illegal immigrants from the United Kingdom (UK) last year, according to Dawn News.
The deported illegal immigrants also include a number of South Asians and Africans which means that at least one person is being deported after every eight minutes.
In addition, the British Government also deported 12,525 asylum seekers, the channel said.
It reported that the British authorities were reviewing their immigration policy after the July 7 London bombings and the September 11 attacks in view of increasing threat from such attacks.
The channel said that the newly enacted stern immigration laws were particularly affecting the Pakistanis and other South Asians seeking jobs in the UK and other European countries. (ANI)
