Lahore, Mar 5(ANI): Two US law experts arrived in Lahore on Saturday to provide legal assistance to double murder-accused CIA contractor Raymond Davis.

According to sources, the American law experts will meet Davis at the Kot Lakhpat jail and discuss important matters and the progress made so far about his release, Samaa TV reports.

The duo will also hold a meeting with the families of the victims- Faizan and Faheem- whom Davis had shot dead in Lahore on January 27, allegedly in self-defence.

On Thursday, a Pakistani court hearing the trial of Davis in connection with the double-murder case rejected his plea for diplomatic immunity, and adjourned the case for further hearing on March 8.

The murder trial is the first of two legal cases involving Davis.

On March 14, a Lahore court will decide whether the US official enjoys diplomatic immunity- another contentious issue that has soured relations between the United States and Pakistan. (ANI)
