Two soldiers die in Muzaffarabad suicide attack
June 26th, 2009 - 6:51 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 26 (IANS) Two soldiers were killed and three injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up against an army truck in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani-controlled Kashmir, the military said.
“The injured personnel have been evacuated to Combined Military Hospital Muzaffarabad,” an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
Suicide bombings are extremely rare in Muzaffarabad and the rest of the area. With no group claiming responsibility, the authorities were unwilling to hazard a guess as to why the attack was staged.
