Two policemen killed in Peshawar shoot out
December 25th, 2009 - 4:09 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Peshawar, Dec. 25 (ANI): At least two policemen were killed in Peshawar when unknown gunmen opened fire on a police checkpost in Pasht Khara area of the provincial capital on Friday.
Both the policemen belonged to the Swabi tehsil, The News reports.
Security personnel have cordoned off the region and a massive search operation has been launched in the region to nab the attackers.
The attack comes barely 24-hours after five persons were killed and several others were wounded in a suicide attack near the State Life Building situated on the Mall Road.
On Monday, four persons, including a security personnel were killed and dozens other seriously wounded in a suicide attack, which occurred in front of the main gate of the Press Club Building. (ANI)
