Two killed in Pakistani Army trainer plane crash (Lead)
June 28th, 2011 - 10:13 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 28 (IANS) Two people were killed when their army trainer aircraft crashed Tuesday afternoon in Pakistan’s Punjab province, Xinhua reported.
The crash took place in Gujar Khan city, located some 60 km southeast of Islamabad, said TV channel AAJ.
The aircraft crashed around 1.30 p.m. Both victims were aboard the aircraft.
Local residents said they saw a plane flying over the city with engine on fire before it crashed in a less populated area of the city.
