Two govt-run schools blown up in northwest Pakistan
March 5th, 2011 - 12:57 pm ICT by ANIBara, Mar 5(ANI): Two government-run boys’ schools were blown up in Pakistan’s Kohat and Khyber Agency tribal region bordering Afghanistan in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to sources, the Shalobar Government High School for Boys located in Bara tehsil of the Khyber Agency was rigged with a powerful bomb, which exploded with a loud bang late in the night.
The blast was so powerful that the entire school premises came down, Samaa TV reports.
However, no loss of life was reported in the blast.
Later, another school was destroyed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat district.
The blasts took the number of schools blown up in the Khyber Agency and Landikotal to 40. (ANI)
