Two foreigners kidnapped in Pakistan
January 20th, 2012 - 4:58 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Islamabad, Jan 20 (IANS) A German and an Italian were kidnapped from central Pakistani city of Multan Thursday night, a media report said Friday.
Gunmen abducted the foreigners from Qasim Bala area of Multan around 8 p.m., reported Geo News.
The police told media that both of them were employees of a non-governmental organisation working for the relief and rehabilitation of flood effected people in the eastern province of Punjab.
Police carried out search operation in the area to trace and rescue the kidnapped foreigners.
The police believe that the German and Italian nationals have been kidnapped for ransom and the militants may come up with a demand for ransom in a few days, said Xinhua.
