Twenty killed, forty injured in Mardan Cantonment suicide blast
February 10th, 2011 - 3:15 pm ICT by ANIMardan, Feb 10(ANI): Twenty security personnel were killed and forty others wounded in a bomb explosion at Mardan Cantonment in Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday.
As per details, an explosion occurred in Punjab Regiment during a military parade, Dunya News reported.
The blast was so powerful that it shattered the windowpanes of the buildings in the cantonment area.
According to sources, it was a suicide blast. Police have cordoned off the area.
An Emergency has been declared in the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), where injured persons have been shifted. (ANI)
