Karachi, Dec 28 (ANI): Sindhis in Pakistan are wondering who will carry the Bhutto name forward following Benazirs assassination.
The Sindhis had an emotional affiliation with Benazir.
Muhammad Bachal, a resident of Tando Allahyar, said: I feel like I have been politically orphaned as she was a leader of both national and international stature.
Bachal and other Sindhis are traumatized and shocked by Bhuttos killing.
Forty-year-old Abdullah who belongs to Larkana District said: It was the fourth time in my life that I wept on the assassination of a Bhutto.
He recalled that he was about 12 years old when former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged in 1979, At that time I didnt know much about him, but I clearly remember weeping for him because of the emotionally charged atmosphere. Later, I had wept for Shahnawaz in 1984 and Mir Murtaza in 1996, he said.
Senior journalist G.N. Mughal, who hails from Hyderabad, said Sindhis were in severe shock because they were not expecting another body from the Bhutto family. (ANI)
