TNSM spokesman Ameer Izzat Khan killed : ISPR
June 6th, 2009 - 1:22 pm ICT by ANIRawalpindi, Jun.6 (ANI): The Pakistan Army has claimed that Tehreek-e-Nifaz Shariat Muhammadi (TNSM) spokesman Ameer Izzat Khan has been killed.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, Khan was killed by security forces in a gun battle in the Sakhakot region of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).
An Army official was also killed, The News reports.
Earlier, the ISPR had claimed that Khan along with TNSM chief Sufi Mohammad and three other leaders had been arrested during a raid.
Unconfirmed sources had also claimed that Sufi Mohammed’s two sons, Rizwanullah and Ziaullah, had also been arrested by security forces. (ANI)
