Three soldiers killed in Pakistan
February 26th, 2012 - 11:49 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Feb 26 (IANS) A Pakistani soldier was killed Sunday in a clash with militants while two security personnel died in a remote-controlled blast in the country’s northwest tribal region, a media report said.
The two incidents took place in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel Dunya.
Army sources said one soldier was killed and several others were injured during a search operation in Sarakai area of the district.
The attack was followed by a remote-controlled blast in Sararogha area, in which two soldiers were killed and many others wounded.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
