Three Pakistani soldiers killed in bomb attack

Islamabad, Oct 20 (IANS) A roadside bomb attack on a security forces convoy in Pakistan’s tribal region killed at least three soldiers Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
Two soldiers were also injured when the bomb exploded near the convoy in Bara area of Khyber Agency.
Taliban and three other militant groups are active in Khyber tribal region, a main transit route for supplies to NATO forces in Afghanistan.
The security forces had launched a major operation against the militant groups in the region last year and cleared many areas of the militants.
