Three killed in suspected US drone strike in South Waziristan

Taliban Islamabad, June 14 (ANI): Three persons were killed and several others were injured in a suspected US drone strike in South Waziristan’s Miranshah region on Sunday.

According to sources, the unmanned US Predator aircrafts fired several missiles at a suspected terrorist vehicle in the Laddha region of South Waziristan, killing the three persons on the spot

“A drone attack targeting a militant vehicle killed three people in Mardar Algad area. There is a training camp close to this area,” said local administration official Amir Mohammad Khan.

Taliban insurgents have cordoned-off the region where the attack took place, preventing security forces from gathering more information about the incident, Khan said.

Intelligence officials based in the area have also confirmed the drone strike.

“A drone targeted militant vehicles in the Mardar Algad area.One of the double-cabin pick-up trucks was totally destroyed. Preliminary reports say that three militants were killed,” The News quoted one intelligence official, as saying. (ANI)
