Three killed in Pakistan suicide attack (Lead)
December 7th, 2009 - 3:03 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Peshawar, Dec 7 (IANS) Three people were killed Monday in a suicide attack near the sessions court in this Pakistani city, an official said.
Dawn News quoted Senior Superintendent of Police Karim Khan as saying that 10 people were also injured in the attack and taken to the Lady Reading Hospital.
The suicide bomber alighted from a rickshaw and tried to make his way towards the court. When he was stopped by security personnel, the man detonated himself, the police said.
Peshawar has witnessed a series of terror attacks since early October that have claimed over 240 lives.
The city witnessed this year’s worst terror attack Oct 28 when a massive explosion in a crowded market killed 117 people and injured over 200.
