Three killed in Iran copter crash
August 16th, 2009 - 4:44 pm ICT by ANITehran, Aug.16 (ANI): Three people were reported killed when an army training helicopter crashed on Sunday west of Tehran.
Iran state television quoted the Governor of Iran’s Shahriar Province, Mohammad Ali Erfan Manesh,as saying that three person onboard had died.
“It was a training helicopter that belonged to the air force of the Islamic republic of Iran,” he added.
The crash was previously reported to have occurred in the Tehran satellite residential area of Andisheh, but Manesh said it took place near a village called Zarnan.
This is Iran’s third fatal air accident in the past week. (ANI)
