Three civilians killed in LTTE bus attack: military

Colombo, July 11 (IANS) At least three civilians were killed and 16 wounded when suspected Tamil Tiger guerrillas opened fire at a bus in Sri Lanka Friday, the defence ministry said. The incident took place at the 49th mile post along the Buttala-Kataragama main road in the southern district of Moneragala district around 10.15 a.m.

The military blamed the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) for the attack.
