The Taliban are back to spread terror in Pak army ’sanitized’ Bajaur Agency

Islamabad, Jun.16 (ANI): The Pakistan Army’s claims of flushing out the militants from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas’ (FATA) Bajaur Agency seem to be artificial as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has reappeared in the region warning the security officials to discontinue their offensive or else face the consequences.
According to sources, threatening letters written on TTP’s letterheads were distributed in various areas of the agency’s Mamoond and Khar regions.
The letter quoted the TTP as saying that it would continue its struggle in Bajaur against the US and all its allies.
The threat mails have created panic amongst local residents, The Daily Times reports.
It may be noted that the battle for Bajaur known as ‘Operation Sherdil’ was launched by the Pakistan Army in August 2008 to clear the area of the Taliban, who had established their control over the region since early 2007. (ANI)
