The cranky cell phone that sent out 4,700 SMS on its own one night!

New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): A cranky phone sent out more than 4,700 text messages on New Year Eves by itself, chalking up a bill of more than 300 yuan (42 dollars) for the owner.
The college student, surnamed Yang bought a high-end cell phone in Tianjin municipality and placed it beside her on the night of Dec 31, 2007.
Next morning, when she woke up she saw that her phone had gone berserk the whole night, reports China Daily.
The technician who inspected the cell phone said it was faulty.
The girl hoped to repair the phone for free but found out that its warranty had expired. (ANI)
