November 29th, 2008 - 6:32 pm ICT by ANIBangkok, Nov 29 (ANI): People’’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) party leader Sondhi Limthongkul on Saturday said that he would ”fight to the death” to defend ASTV, and urged his supporters to do their best to secure the Government House and the Suvarnabhumi airport.
The PAD leader added that his party members are ready to defend ASTV and would die to protect the country.
Sondhi was reacting to Metropolitan Police chief Suchart Muankaew’’s announcement that the police would seize ASTV.
The PAD’’s anti-government movements were under the Constitution, the Bangkok Post quoted Sondhi, as saying.
The No-1 leader of PAD also claimed that deposed Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was behind the latest Thai Government orders.
He warned, If the police open fire at the PAD guards at ASTV, the guards will shoot back. (ANI)
