Taliban abducts 35 in NWFP
February 8th, 2009 - 12:58 pm ICT by ANI Islamabad, Feb.8 (ANI): Taliban extremists have kidnapped at least 35 people from the Shahukhel area of the North West Frontier Province, The Daily Times reports.
According to reports filtering in from the area, 35 persons belonging to the Mushti tribe were abducted and taken to an undisclosed location.
Residents of the area claimed the Taliban arrested those following public complaints.
The arrested people would be presented before the Taliban courts in Orakzai Agency, they claimed.
Meanwhile, no police report has been filed by family members of the kidnapped. (ANI)
