- London, Apr 12 (ANI): Treating your child with sweets is the best way to end their embarrassing public tantrums, says Gwyneth Paltrow’s nanny.
Rachel Waddilove, nanny of Paltrow’s kids, daughter Apple and son Moses, in her new guide to raising toddlers, suggests that treating tots with sweets can help in controlling their supermarket tantrums, reports the Telegraph.
In her guide she said, It is a case of ‘needs must’ when you are out, so don’t feel guilty about buying a treat or some sweets to placate your child.”
“If the child goes completely ballistic in the supermarket and you are coming up to pay, give them a little something.
I’m not saying give in every time. But perhaps give them a little treat, or say you’ll do something fun afterwards,” she added.
The Toddler Book: How to Enjoy Your Growing Child is Mrs Waddilove’s second child-rearing manual after The Baby Book.
