Suicide blast outside Peshawar court kills 3, injures 20

Peshawar, Dec. 7 (ANI): A bomb blast outside a court in Peshawar killed three people and injured 20 others on Monday, police say.
The News quoted senior police official Mohammad Karim, as saying: “The blast took place at the main gate of the Sessions Court killing two people and wounding over 20 others.”
The injured have been taken to the Lady Reading Hospital, he said.
Police is yet to ascertain the cause of the blast that happened at Jail Road in busy area of Peshawar.
According to police, a man stepped out of a rickshaw and was trying to make his way towards the sessions court but was stopped by security personnel.
The man then detonated himself, injuring police officials, they added.
Peshawar has been hit by a spree of suicide bombings allegedly by Taliban militants seeking to avenge a fierce military offensive against them in the Tribal Areas. (ANI)
