NOWSHERA, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) – A suicide attack outside the residence of the Information Minister of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province in Pakistan killed eight people, including three policemen, local TV reported on Monday.

The attack took place on Pabbi Shergarh, outside the residence of Minister Mian Iftikhar. A man in his 20s entered the place with two more suspected bombers and detonated his explosives. In addition to the eight fatalities, approximately 25 individuals were injured. They were transported to Pabbi and Peshawar hospitals.

Two relatives of Iftikhar were among the wounded. On Sunday, people gathered outside the residence of Iftikhar following the burial of Mian Rashid Sunday, the Minister’s son, killed by suspected terrorists.

Local police officers began a search operation as the two remaining suspects were reportedly trying to force their entry into Iftikhar’s residence. Police managed to arrest a suspect from the area and transferred him to a secure, undisclosed location.
