Suicide attack at Pakistani Naval HQ, four hurt (Lead)
December 2nd, 2009 - 4:23 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Dec 2 (IANS) A suicide bomber Wednesday struck at the heavily fortified Naval Headquarters in the Pakistani capital, injuring four people.
The suicide bomber blew up when Naval guards stopped him at the entrance of the complex, Geo News quoted sources as saying.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Bin Yameen called it a suicide attack.
The blast shattered windows of buildings and vehicles.
Wednesday’s attack was far less severe than the one Oct 10 when 10 terrorists in military uniform laid siege to the Pakistani Army’s General Headquarters. That attack left 19 people dead.
Over 250 people have been killed in a spate of terror attacks in various parts of the country.
